What does vintage mean?

Vintage items are items which were manufactured between 20 and 100 years ago.

What does retro mean?

Retro items are items which are less than 20 years old but are replicas of things which are older.  For example: A designer might have made a leather jacket two months ago to reflect the style of a jacket made 30 years ago.  The jacket which was actually manufactured two months ago is a retro jacket while the jacket which was actually manufactured 30 years ago is a vintage jacket.

What does antique mean?

Antique items are items which are manufactured over 100 years ago.  Some antique retailers might explain that antique items are at least 50 years ago.  That's only because those items are much more difficult to find.  In most cases, even when they are found, they are rarely in a good enough shape to sell or use.

Does Ensemble sell antique items?

No.

Is Ensemble a thrift store?

No. Thrift shops are very different from vintage shops.  Although they both sell second-hand items, thrift shops typically sell all things second-hand within their scope, regardless of age.  Vintage shops specifically sell items which are 20 to 100 years of age.  Vintage shops have a more pin pointed niche since items found and vintage shops are much harder to find.

Where does Ensemble find its inventory?

Our inventory is hand-picked from a number of our vendors to ensure the highest quality products.

Does Ensemble accept donations?

Yes. If you are in the Metro Atlanta area and would like to donate to our store, please call us at 404-905-2207 to arrange a pick-up.  If you are outside the Metro Atlanta area, you can request a donation packet to ship your donation by calling us.  We'll be happy to cover the cost of shipping.

Does Ensemble buy or trade with individuals?

Ensemble primarily gather its inventory by hand-picking from its vendors. However, we will consider purchasing from individuals on a case-by-case basis.  To sell or trade your items, please visit a store nearest you.  Items offered for purchase or trade from individuals must be vintage items.

Is Ensemble a non-profit organization?

No. Ensemble is a Christian based company but we are not non-profit.  In turn, items donated to our store will not be tax deductible.
